up to date! Summary of market conditions of ST, TI, NXP, Renesas, ON Semiconductor, Qualcomm, etc.
ST, TI, NXP, Renesas, ON Semiconductor, Qualcomm
Since the outbreak of the shortage of cores, the demand for mature process chips has been soaring, resulting in a serious imbalance between supply and demand. MCU, power management chip, driver chip, high-voltage MOS, IGBT and many other chips are out of stock. In particular, automotive chips are the hardest hit area for shortages. Today, Spicy Pen Laoxin has sorted out the latest market trends of 13 major manufacturers including TI, ST, NXP, TI, ADI, Renesas, ON Semiconductor, and Microchip according to the market situation.

TI: Significant reduction in demand
Because the entire logistics in East China has been affected, many car companies are unable to produce normally. In addition, foreign factories are gradually distributing the spot goods, so the demand for TIs has decreased significantly in April, and the prices of some TIs have gradually dropped and stabilized. TLV320AIC3104IRHBR, the previous price was 5-6usd, and now it has gradually dropped to -2-3usd, 53319 has also dropped from the previous 50-60usd to about 30usd, and the overall price of high-priced materials has been reduced faster. However, the price of materials that are relatively short of car regulations is still very strong. The market price of 92692, which has been relatively short recently, is still close to 140usd.

ON Semiconductor: Paving the way for a new round of price increases

A few days ago, ON Semiconductor officially issued a notification letter, stating that due to the continuous impact of the epidemic in Shanghai and other places, ON Semiconductor's production and delivery cannot meet all customer needs. Many industry insiders say that ON Semiconductor's announcement is actually paving the way for a new round of price increases.
Due to capacity constraints, ON Semiconductor's product delivery time has been prolonged. The most-missing sensor in analog devices has a delivery time of 18-52 weeks. In discrete devices, such as MOS tubes, transistors, and transistors, the delivery time is generally more than 50 weeks. Although there is a small amount of spot on the market, the price is also ridiculously high. The product delivery time of the Bluetooth module has been extended to 16-30 weeks, and the memory needs up to 40 weeks. This month, ON Semiconductor's market demand is still high, especially for automotive materials, and the price is also very high. In addition, the market demand for CMOS image sensors is also very strong, but the short-term shortage will not be alleviated.

Microchip: production capacity is too tight
Due to the excessively tight production capacity of Microchip, the original factory has issued a notice to the agent to give priority to ensuring the demand of the cooperative customers who joined the PSP project last year, while the customers who place new orders this year can only place orders, and all need to sign the NCNR agreement.
The lead time of Microchip is generally more than 60 weeks. The main theme of the shortage of Microchip is still in the field of automobile, communication electronics, ATA series, PIC microcontroller and KSZ series. Part of the reason is that Shanghai has been closed since April, and the original factory arrivals basically need to pass through the Shanghai Free Trade Zone, resulting in a backlog of goods that cannot be shipped in Shanghai, resulting in a shortage in the market; another reason is that Microchip has some materials The delivery period has not been eased, such as Yifang, and the price continues to be high.
The Ethernet chip is the previous SMSC brand. This part of the microchip is outsourced, so there was no way to control the delivery time. Therefore, since the shortage in 2021, Ethernet chips such as USB series, KSZ series and LAN series, It has always been the hardest hit area for shortages, but it is expected to ease in the second half of the year.
NXP: Markets tumbled this month
Affected by the epidemic, several major domestic car factories were forced to suspend production, resulting in a serious decline in NXP's market demand this month. The material models that were in short supply before, such as FS32K series, S9S12G series, TJA series, etc., have almost no customer consultation at present. Industry insiders predict that the market demand will only rebound after the markets in East China and Northeast China are unblocked.
The total delivery time of NXP's original factory has not improved, especially for automotive materials, S series, 12, 32, 64, etc. ending in LF, such as CLF, MLF, VLF, and the LQFP package at the end is particularly lacking, and the price continues to rise. The price of the F series has dropped slightly, and the MK series of industrial materials is still in short supply. There are a lot of returned goods in the LPC series, and the price has dropped a bit. For example, the 1788 has dropped more than 10 USD/PCS from last month to this month; the delivery time of some I.MX series is still not optimistic, all of which are in the state of distribution, and the price is still there. go higher.
Renesas: Want to raise prices from May
Recently, Renesas officially issued a notice to agents that from April 25th to May 9th, the sale of inventory of any type of material is prohibited. The official news from Renesas is that it is expected to increase the entire line of products from May 1, and the specific increase is still unknown. According to people familiar with the matter, some MCU models of the R5F series are expected to increase by up to 300%. At present, all agents have begun to comprehensively count the inventory on hand, and April 22 is the date of the last wave of shipments before the price increase.
The demand of Renesas in March has increased a lot compared with the previous months. The more popular series are: R5F523/RF5100/R5F101, mainly due to the large gap between 16-bit and 32-bit MCUs, the limited production capacity of the original factory, and the slow return speed. The normal delivery time for ordering is basically about one year; it turned out that the old Mitsubishi MCUs used a small customer base and a small amount of consumption, and most of the series were in the state of distribution, such as M30260/M30280, which still can’t be seen 4-5 months after the order is placed. due date. The delivery period of INTERSIL product series has been extended to 78 weeks again. The affected series include CA3xxx/DG4xx/ICL3xxx/ISL12xxx/ISL2xxxx, etc. At the same time, the models that were seriously out of stock before are slowly being returned, such as TW2867/HIP4082.

Infineon: Orders far exceed its own capacity load
This month, Infineon officially began to raise prices, and agents also began to update order prices. There is still a lot of demand recently, and the demand is mainly for Mosfet and automotive-grade materials. It is reported that Infineon’s backlog of orders in 2022 has reached 31 billion euros, far more than twice the previously predicted revenue of 13 billion in 2022, and also far beyond the capacity that Infineon can carry itself. load. Therefore, as of the first quarter of this year, Infineon's automotive-grade MCUs are in a state of distribution, and the delivery period is infinitely longer.
At present, Infineon's delivery time is 52-65 weeks for low-voltage MOS, 52-65 weeks for high-voltage MOS, 39-50 weeks for IGBT materials, and 32-45 weeks for automotive-related materials. Recently, the demand for automotive-grade materials and MCUs has increased, and the shortage and price increase have become more obvious. There are still many inquiries for IPB, IRF, TLE, BTS series materials. Due to the increase in the price of the original factory, it is expected that the spot demand will continue to increase and the price will continue to rise. For example, the market price of BSZ060NE2LS has risen more than 20 times from last year's US$0.28. At present, the price and delivery time are still not ideal.

ST: The market is stable with some decline this month
ST's market conditions have been stable this month, but the F4 series has been out of stock and prices have continued to rise. The demand for other MCUs is flat, and the demand for non-active products (MOSFETs, etc.) is mostly on the contrary. In addition, ST's tightening of restrictions on trade shipments may lead to difficulties in subsequent orders. Spot demand is still market-oriented. After the subsequent customer shortages are reduced, the market price will gradually stabilize.
Except for the price of STM32F427VIT6, which is still on the rise, other prices have dropped by about 10 to 20 percent. ST's entire line of products currently has a long lead time for orders, and the arrival of goods is mainly divided into goods, and the order price has been raised more or less.

Qualcomm: Very little demand
Qualcomm's demand remained light this month, with customers on the sidelines.
The shortage of Bluetooth materials has been greatly alleviated. The prices of previous Internet celebrity materials such as CSR8670, BC417, and QCC3007 have dropped significantly. There are some stocks in the market, and the client has no purchase plan. Netcom's materials are still in serious shortage, and the original factory has no output. The spot price of AR8031 series, a popular out-of-stock model this month, has risen to more than 2900 yuan, and the spot price is very small; the demand for AR8035-AL1A has also increased this month, and the spot price has soared.

Intel: NIC chips will increase in May
Recently, Intel's official website issued a notice that it will raise product prices in May, mainly for network card chips.
The current delivery time of Intel's original factory is far away, and it can only be maintained by the original factory's small weekly distribution. This week, Intel's most scarce material is the lOTG series; while the popular model wGI210AT is still hot this week, and the market price remains high, far beyond the range that customers can afford, so most customers are currently in the In a wait-and-see state, fewer customers actually place orders.

Micron: EMMC supply is tight
Micron's customer demand this week is more 4GB or 8GB EMMC. It is reported that the original Micron factory will stop production of such EMMCs in April, and will not accept new orders in the future.
4GB or 8GB EMMC, but the materials of this type are relatively scarce, and the market stock is very small. Although the price has dropped a bit, the overall price is still high.

Broadcom: Demand remains subdued
Broadcom's demand is still sluggish. In the past one or two months, Broadcom's returns have been increasing, and the price has also dropped. The opportunities for BCM series are currently mainly in some small materials, such as PHY, POE and some low-end switching chips. High-end chips need Opportunity and other needs are uncertain, and stocking needs to be more cautious. The PLX and LSI series are still very out of stock, and there will be no relief in the short term. The shortage of stock will intensify at any time, and the number of products with quality problems in the market will gradually increase. Avago's current shortage is concentrated in the automotive industry, and the industrial control category is relatively stable.

Realtek: Customers are still waiting
Realtek's demand in April was higher than that in March. The demand for audio decoding series decreased significantly this month. The demand for routers and switches, as well as sound cards and network card chips around computers increased compared with last month.
Realtek's more popular part numbers are RTL8211F-CG, RTL8211FI-CG, RTL8192FR-CG, RTL8812FR-CG, RTL8197FH-VG4-CG, etc. In addition, the customer's demand this month is mainly based on sets, but customers are still waiting to see market dynamics.

ADI: The overall market is relatively flat
The overall ADI market has been relatively flat recently. Although the price is still at a high level, the reduction in demand has led to a lack of enthusiasm for trading, and the prices of some general-purpose series have also begun to loosen.
Linear's DC-DC power supply chip is still very short, the price is very high, and the arrival is not ideal. In addition to the recent price increase of the Dallas series, Maxim's recent price increase is still very exaggerated. At the same time, the prices of some general-purpose materials have also begun to rise, such as MA×3430, MAX9916, etc. The delivery time of such materials has been prolonged. In addition, some materials that overlap with the AD product line may exist. Reduced production capacity.
